You know, I’ve been selling Caymus wines since 1992. I’ve sold them in restaurants, wine shops and for 19 years (!) on the Internet. Not a month ago, I drank a FABULOUS bottle of 1975 Caymus Napa. You all are savvy wine people --- I don’t need to tell you the Caymus story and their rich history in the Napa Valley. A lot of people think of the Special Selection as a “turned up to 11” version of the Napa bottling. Not me. I think it’s more subtle, more refined, and more complex, while still unabashedly opulent, toasty and fruit-bomby. I like it much more than the Napa, generally.
