Chacra Pinot Noir Cincuenta y Cinco Patagonia 2019 - First Bottle

Reviews

98 James Suckling -
The blue-fruit character is impressive with intense, violet and floral character, which turns redder with earthier notes. Full-bodied, tight and very chewy, yet the tannins spread across the palate, releasing pure, seductive fruit and tense, bright acidity. Try after 2022.

We have just a handful of cases of the earthy, mineral wonderkind that is Chacra Cincuenta y Cinco. This wines are just gorgeous and a reference point for pinot in South America. 98 points from James Suckling, this is pretty sexy right now, but will definitely benefit from a few years of cellaring.

About the Producer

Chacra was created by Piero Incisa della Rocchetta in 2004 with the intention of finding the most unobstructed expression of the climate, micro-climate, and terroir of Mainque in the Rio Negro region of Patagonia. Piero Incisa della Rocchetta's, who is a key stakeholder in Sassicaia, farms his 75 acres organically and biodynamically and believes that the wine is made in the vineyard.
