Too late, we are SOLD OUT!

A brand new wine from the legendary Amarone producer, Monte Tondo, who if you weren’t familiar with, is a rockstar producer in Verona. The winery didn't want to confuse their customers with another Amarone bottling, so despite them referring to this as Super-Veronan, this is for all intents and purposes Amarone.

While their traditionally-made Amarone has very little new oak influence, this wine is made in a much more modern style with sexy, toasty oak and rich, intensely concentrated fruit flavors. It's a blend typical of Amarone, with 70% Corvina and 30% Rondinella, air dried for 4 months. The exceptional 2015 vintage provided the perfect backdrop for them to create this new wine and we were simply blown away by the quality. The grapes lose about 40-45% of the juice and are then macerated for 20 days. From there, the wine is aged for 36 months in 30 HL French oak.

This is a serious wine for the money and would embarrass a lot of Amarones that cost twice as much! If you love the typical richness and power of Amarone with an extra “modern” kick, you WILL flip for this new release. No scores yet, but trust us, you’ll want more!

About the Producer

Three generations have handed down the precious art of wine-making, born from a love for their land and their roots, together with the knowledge that it is only through hard work, drive, and determination that the best results can be obtained. In the hills, vine-grower Gino Magnabosco, together with his family, carry on this very passion that traditions have handed down. They are attentive to any new improvement in grape producing technology in order to guarantee wine of the best quality to represent the area in which it is produced. Alongside his family, winemaker Gino Magnabosco is part of the third generation to run the estate. They believe that hard work, drive and determination are key to obtaining the best results from their land. Maintaining, nourishing and cherishing the land of their ancestors is of utmost importance. And although not certified, they farm using organic practices and an environmentally friendly approach to both viticulture and vinification.
