Remoissenet Fleurie 2018 - First Bottle

Reviews

92 Robert Parker's Wine Advocate -
The 2018 Fleurie Domaine Julien Clement is showing beautifully, wafting from the glass with aromas of raspberries, strawberries and rose petals, complemented by subtle hints of raw cocoa and undergrowth. Medium to full-bodied, supple and enveloping, it's succulent and charming, with an open core of expressive fruit, lively acids and a nicely defined finish. Julien Clement farms and vinifies this wine, with the Remoissenet team providing advice on bottling practices and then buying the production.

You probably didn’t even know they made a Fleurie! Wait until you taste it...wow. $26.95 and free ground shipping on 4+! Grab it while it’s here!

A reference point for the wines of Burgundy, Remoissenet Pere et Fils started the next chapter in its generations-long history in 2005. With new owners and renewed leadership under Pierre-Antoine Rovani (formerly of the Wine Advocate) and Bernard Repolt (Maison Louis Jadot), the winery has reached new heights.

Remoissenet’s new partner in Fleurie, Domaine Julien Clément, is the perfect example of the kind of grower they aim to work with: small, long-established, sustainable, family-run. The Cléments farm 25 hectares of Gamay vineyards in Fleurie, with most situated at high elevations in the hamlet of Poncié—arguably the most prized section within Fleurie, with soils of decomposed pink granite. Juicy, mouth-watering acidity, redolent of roses and red fruits, with tons of energy and fine texture. Incredibly impressive at our price especially!

Did we mention $26.95 and free ground shipping on 4+?! While it lasts!

About the Producer

Remoissenet Pere et Fils is a reference point for refined Burgundy wines. This ancient estate, connected by mortar and stone to the medieval walls of Beaune, is for serious collectors linked by vine and bottle to Burgundy's hallowed past and its exciting future. Yet among these bottled memories are barrels of stories to come: older vines tended according to biodynamic methods, unique terroirs selected with the utmost care and in micro-quantities. In 2005, Remoissenet started the next chapter in its generations-long history. With new owners and renewed leadership under Pierre-Antoine Rovani (formerly of the Wine Advocate) and Bernard Repolt (Maison Louis Jadot), the winery has reached new heights.
