Senses Pinot Noir MCM88 2018 - First Bottle

Reviews

96+ Jeb Dunnuck -
The 2018 Pinot Noir MCM88 comes from the Perry Ranch Vineyard located in the Russian River and was destemmed and brought up in 25-40% new French oak. This complex, nuanced 2018 has gorgeous mulberry and Bing cherry fruits as well as notes of toasted baking spices, dried flowers, and earth. It's not your average Russian River Valley Pinot Noir and is more medium-bodied, has bright acidity, ripe tannins, and a great finish. All of these 2018s from Senses come across as tighter and more structured and are going to blossom with short-term bottle age. This is no exception.

MCM stands for Max, Chris and Myles, the first names of the three partners and doubles for the roman numerals of 1900, which when added to ‘88 marks their birth year of 1988. Named appropriately for an exuberant single vineyard Pinot noir from the famed vineyard formerly known as Keefer Ranch.
