Betton Crozes-Hermitage Caprice 2016 - First Bottle

Reviews

92 Robert Parker's Wine Advocate -
The medium-bodied 2016 Crozes Hermitage Caprice comes from the oldest vines of this small domaine and is aged 10-12 months in older barrels. It shows lovely herbal-peppery complexities on the nose, then supple, creamy red fruit on the palate. Drinkable and complex, this wine is in tune with modern sensibilities but with genuine Syrah character and a long, silky finish.

Too late, we are SOLD OUT!
"Caprice" means whim in French, and could describe the feelings of a passionate winemaker as she guides her vines through the challenges and often heartaches of each vintage. A selection of the estate's oldest vines, this pure Syrah wine is raised in older French oak barrels for one year. Licorice, cocoa, candied violets, black fruits and pepper. Amazing wine for the price!!

About the Producer

Representing the third generation of her family to have answered the siren call of northern Rhone Syrah, Christelle Betton's vision is one of pure and refined fruit, inspired by the cool northern Mistral winds and stony personality of her family?s vineyards in La Roche de Glun. We love these wines at First Bottle, full of personality and unique expression, they come with our stamp of approval as does everything we select.
