While I wasn't able to taste the traditional cuvee, the 2015 Chateauneuf-du-Pape Secrets de Pignan certainly delivers the goods. Coming from the Pignan lieu-dit, located in the center of the appellation, just beside Rayas, destemmed and aged all in stainless steel, it offers a beautiful, singular style in its blackberry, currant, leafy herbs, thyme, and olive scented bouquet. This carries to a full-bodied, sexy Grenache that has loads of fruit, terrific purity and a blockbuster finish. Drink this sensational 2015 anytime over the coming 10-15 years.
