Peter Michael Winery Chardonnay Belle Cote 2016 - First Bottle

Reviews

97 James Suckling -
Aromas of mustard flowers, orange flowers, pineapple and lime follow through to a full body. A tight and precise palate with a compressed texture of light tannins. Subtle and fruity finish. Savory and salty at the end. Drink now.
95-97 Robert Parker's Wine Advocate -
With a wonderfully intense and perfumed nose, the 2016 Chardonnay Belle Cote opens with a tropical/guava and pineapple nose with a beautiful floral undercurrent and notes of toasted almonds and cinnamon toast. Medium-bodied, with a lovely satiny texture, it delivers plenty of savory layers matched by spicy vitality and finishing with great length. To be bottled in February 2018; 1,910 cases are expected.

Too late, we are SOLD OUT!
Greatest Chardonnay producer in California? The critics certainly think so --- just take a look at the scores for these wines, year after year, like clockwork. Rich, intense, opulent and hedonistic any way you slice it!

About the Producer

In 1982, after a six year search, Sir Peter Michael and Lady Michael purchased 630 acres of volcanic ridges on the western face of Mount St. Helena in Knights Valley. Drawing inspiration from the great wineries of Burgundy and Bordeaux, the family hired like-minded viticulturists and winemakers to help them create terroir-driven wines that would stand the test of time.
