Carte Blanche Pinot Noir Nobles Sun Chase Vineyard 2015 - First Bottle

Reviews

94 James Suckling -
Dried rose petals, orange rind, raspberry tea, strawberry perfume and plenty of citrus and spices. On the palate, this is a muscular pinot with grainy, firm tannins, lots of dark-chocolate flavors and a taut layer of acidity. A long, mineral finish. Drink in 2020.

Too late, we are SOLD OUT!
SERIOUS pinot. Rockstar Helen Keplinger makes this fantastic, complex, layered pinot from the highly coveted Sun Chase Vineyard in the Petaluma Gap. In a near-perfect vintage like 2015, you'll need to be ready to say "I should have bought more of this..." Helen doesn't make a lot of pinot, but when she does...wow!

About the Producer

Carte Blanche is Nicholas Allen’s (owner of Haut-Brion and La Mission Haut Brion!) Napa project, utilizing the very best vineyard sites and an elite winemaker, (and one of our all-time favorite people) Helen Keplinger. Nicholas’ family has been in the wine business for nearly a century, since his great grandfather, Clarence Dillon, acquired Chateau Haut-Brion in 1935, and from an early age he gained an exposure and appreciation in wine. Eventually, he was inspired to produce his own boutique label in Napa Valley and he sought out the very best terroir and locked in long-term contracts where he could control the farming.
