The 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Tanbark Hill is soft, succulent and inviting, all of which make it a super-appealing wine to drink now and over the next decade or so. The radiance and fruit intensity of the year comes through nicely, and yet the wine retains its classic, mid-weight sense of structure and overall feel. Crushed flowers and sweet spice add lift in this gracious, pretty wine from Togni. -- Antonio Galloni, Jan 2018

Too late, we are SOLD OUT!
Togni is a legend. The Tanbark bottling is his "drink earlier" mountain Cabernet, and it is just screaming good right now -- rich and powerful and true to the Togni name (he is one of the greatest winemakers in Napa Valley!).
About the Producer
Philip Togni is a luminary. He planted his first vines at 2000 feet near the top of Spring Mountain in 1981. Born in England, Philip studied with the legendary Emile Peynaud and moved to Napa in 1959 where he first worked at Mayacamas. His resume grew quickly getting experience at Chalone, Chappellet, Cuvaison and Ingelnook. He was the head winemaker at Chappellet where he crafted arguably one of the finest wines ever made in Napa history, the 1969 Chappellet Cabernet Sauvignon. His wines always reflect an old-world sensibility and an uncanny ability to improve with bottle age.
