Hamel Family Wines' 2016 Isthmus Red Blend is a robust Sonoma Valley creation, combining 89% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Cabernet Franc, and 1% Merlot from Nuns Canyon and Hamel Family Ranch vineyards. This wine offers deep ruby-purple hues with aromas of sweet cherry, plum, and rich red fruits, leading to flavors of dark cherry, plum, blackberry, vanilla, and spice, all wrapped in velvety tannins and a lingering finish.

About The Producer

Hamel Family Wines was established in 2006 by George and Pamela Hamel, who transitioned from corporate life in San Francisco to viticulture in Sonoma Valley. Their inaugural vintage, a 2006 Cabernet Sauvignon, marked the beginning of their winemaking journey. Over the years, the Hamel family has expanded their operations to include four certified biodynamic and organic estate vineyards located in the Sonoma Valley and Moon Mountain District appellations. Their state-of-the-art winery, situated on a 124-acre estate along Highway 12, is renowned for its modern design and sustainable farming practices. Today, Hamel Family Wines focuses on producing limited-production, single-vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Sauvignon blends, and Sauvignon Blanc, reflecting their commitment to quality and environmental stewardship.
